复旦大学附属华山医院创建于1907年，前身为中国人自己创办的第一家医院——中国红十字会总医院暨医学堂，是中国最著名、最具国际化水平的医教研中心之一。
医院核定床位3,142张，另有研究床位450张，设有44个临床和技术科室，年门急诊量超过600万人次，年住院近20万人次，年手术超过10万台。
历史
作为上海第一家由中国人创办的医院，华山医院一个多世纪以来始终走在医学创新的前沿。国际医疗中心成立于1989年，是上海乃至全国最早提供国际医疗服务的机构之一。 医院是10个国家领事馆的指定医疗机构，并为世博会、奥运会、APEC峰会、中国国际进口博览会等重大国际活动提供医疗保障。
