History
As Shanghai's first hospital established by Chinese people, Huashan Hospital has been at the forefront of medical innovation for over a century. The International Medical Center was established in 1989, making it one of the earliest institutions in Shanghai and China to provide international medical services. The hospital has served as the designated medical institution for 10 national consulates and has provided medical support for major international events including the World Expo, Olympics, APEC Summit, and China International Import Expo.
