History
As Shanghai's first Western medicine hospital, Renji Hospital has been at the forefront of medical innovation for nearly 180 years. The hospital has been recognized as a National Civilized Unit for four consecutive terms and has maintained Grade A performance ratings for 18 consecutive years. In 2014, the hospital established the Shanghai-Ottawa Joint Medical School, China's first Sino-foreign cooperative medical education program approved by the Ministry of Education. In 2019, the Sino-French Surgical Academy was established.
